Tickets and Passes
DOXA Documentary Film Festival takes place in person, screening films at selected venues. To watch films in our program and attend events, a ticket or festival pass is needed, unless otherwise stated. See ticket rates and admission options below.
TICKETS
INDIVIDUAL TICKETS
Opening and Closing Gala tickets, as well as Festival Passes go on sale at 11am on March 27, 2025. Our full program will be announced on April 3, 2025 and all other festival tickets and passes will go on sale at that time.
DOXA 2025 tickets are offered to the public at multiple tiers.

DOXA INDUSTRY
Sliding scale tickets available for each event, starting at $13.00.
INDIGENOUS ACCESS
Admission to DOXA screenings and events is FREE for all self-identifying Indigenous peoples. You can book your complimentary tickets by getting in touch with our Box Office team at boxoffice[at]doxafestival.ca, or by inquiring with box office staff at festival venues during opening hours.
FESTIVAL TICKET PACKS
Get more docs for your buck, and more to share with friends! Packs are valid for one ticket per in-person screening. Please note that ticket packs are NOT valid for Opening Night and Special Presentations and do not include the $2.00 membership.

STANDBY TICKETS
If a screening has sold out of advance tickets, there may be some tickets that become available at the door just before the screening starts (returned tickets, unused complimentary tickets, unclaimed passholder seats, etc.). These tickets
will be made available to the standby line for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis.

THEATRICAL PROCEDURE FOR FESTIVAL PASS HOLDERS
- Festival passholders are not guaranteed seating. Tickets must be booked in advance using the pass attached to your Eventive account. If a screening is not sold out, tickets will be available at the venue box office up until showtime. Passholders who arrive to any screening without booking their ticket in advance will be asked to join the box office line to book their ticket before entering the venue.
- All passholders are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to showtime.
- All passes are strictly non-transferable and passholders are required to carry ID.
MEMBERSHIP
DOXA presents films that have not been classified by Consumer Protection BC. Under BC law, anyone wishing to see unclassified films in theatres must be a member of the Documentary Media Society and at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise stated. Your Society membership is included in the cost of your ticket, pass, or ticket pack. Your ticket is your proof of membership while at any DOXA 2025 screening. This entitles you to attend all DOXA screenings.
If you are booking tickets for multiple guests and the guests would like a copy of their membership, they can fill out a form at any sceening.

AT THEATRICAL VENUES
Tickets can be purchased at venues where screenings take place. Available on selected dates and for all festival screenings, unless otherwise stated. Box offices open 30 minutes prior to the first ticketed event at the venue.
- The Vancouver Playhouse (May 1) - Tickets for the Opening Gala only.
- The Cinematheque (May 2-11) - Tickets available for all festival screenings.
- VIFF Centre (May 2-4 & May 6-8) - Tickets available for all festival screenings.
- SFU's Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (May 4-5 & May 7-10) - Tickets available for all festival screenings.

REFUND POLICY
All sales are final. No exchanges. DOXA only offers refunds in cases of technical failure or cancellation of a screening.
